Fintech Companies Hiring in 2025 After Turbulent Year Seek Skilled Professionals
The fintech sector, which experienced rapid growth during the pandemic and its immediate aftermath, had a relatively rough 2024. The year ended with the abrupt shutdown—and subsequent acquisition—of accounting startup Bench. However, despite the slowing pace of funding, some fintech companies are continuing to see growth and expand their teams.
To gain a better understanding of just how many fintechs might be in this category, I recently put out a call for fintech companies that are hiring. The response was overwhelming, with over a dozen responses received within the first hour. Over the course of a few days, I heard from more than 60 companies.
The Unexpected Response
I must admit that I was surprised by the sheer number and quality of responses. Even as someone who writes about this space regularly, I found it remarkable to see so many fintech companies actively seeking new talent. The initial response was a clear indication that there are still many opportunities available in the fintech sector.
A Closer Look
Upon revisiting this topic a few months later, I found that while fintechs are still hiring, many of them don’t have as many open roles as they once did. However, there are still plenty of open positions, and some companies are even hiring for more roles than they were just a few months ago.
